President’s Message
Greetings my NAPS members!
Welcome to the New Year, 2026. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year. I hope that all is well with you and your families.
These are challenging times for our country and for the Postal Service. Be sure to make time to take care of yourself.
In October of 2025, the postal service invoked a RIF (Reduction In Force). This was a RIF for PDCs and other areas that involved the plants. This RIF was on the back of the Transportation RIF. Remember when the PMG decided to put a large amounts of mail on the ground? This group of EAS needed to find jobs by December 19th . As in all RIFs, if you didn’t get a job, you would be terminated. I am happy to report that with the assistance of Naps Richard Green, NAPS Regional VP and Troy Griffin, Area VP every RIF impacted EAS employee found a new position.
If you know of a new or fellow EAS member that is not a NAPS member, tell them about NAPS. If you are not really what to tell them, contact me or one of our local NAPS leadership. We hope to make a visit to your workplace soon. Remember as a NAPS member, should you need MSPB, NAPS pays the cost, you pay nothing.
Stay informed, visit our local branch website. NAPS now has over 29,000 plus members. If you sign up a member, NAPS Headquarters will give you $25. New members help keep our organization strong and enable us to fight for your future!
