HISTORY
Founding Branch 526
The Northern Virginia area was in its infancy in the 1970’s and there were NAPS branches in Falls Church, VA, Arlington, VA, Fairfax, VA, Woodbridge, VA, Winchester, VA and several other locations throughout Northern Virginia.

After meeting with the NAPS National Administrative Vice President, Mo Twomey, Mr. Parks requested and got approval from the local executive boards to devise a plan to merge all the NAPS branches into one branch.
After a year of hard work, he convinced all chartered NAPS branches to merge into one branch. NAPS National Headquarters accepted the planned joining of all the chartered branches and renamed the new branch the Northern Virginia District Branch 526 and Northern Virginia’s branch became the largest NAPS branch in Virginia.

Mr. Parks strived to make NAPS Branch 526 the best branch in the country by continuing to refine and retool through education and Constitution/By-Law changes and upgrades.

In 2014, Branch 526 was renamed to James E. Parks, Jr. District branch to recognize the efforts and continued leadership he has provided to the branch for over four decades.
