Thursday, May 21, 2026
Lloyd Cox called the meeting to order at 7:00pm at Merrifield P& DC. The following officers were present: Lloyd Cox, President; Alice Jackson, VP Customer Service; Deborah Farmer, VP -P&; DC; Joanne Farmer, Secretary/Treasurer and Junemarie Brandt, Editor of Chief. Committee Chairs: Deborah Holley - Constitution/By-Laws; and Andrew Martin – Membership. The following Committer chairs were absent Kenny Marshall - Sargent at Arms, James Reedy – Resolution and Darcy Driscoll – Benevolence.
Lloyd Cox welcomed our guests Henry Payne, Merrifield Plant Manager, and the Virginia District Manager Anthony (Tony) Impronto. The candidates campaigning for National Officer positions: Jimmy Warden, Secretary/Treasurer, Richard Green, Eastern Region Vice President, and Troy Griffin, AVP Capitol Atlantic.
The agenda was read and Alice Jackson motioned to accept the agenda with any addition items; Darryl Beasley 2nd; motion passed.
The minutes were read, and Deborah Holley motioned to accept the minutes as read with any necessary corrections; Darryl Beasely 2nd; motion passed.
The Treasury Report was read, and Alice Jackson motioned to accept the treasury report with any necessary corrections; William White 2nd, motion passed.

The branch will provide per diem and mileage rates using the figures as outlined in USPS Travel Handbook, Appendix A. Per Diem @ $50 per day for each day of the meeting including first and last day of travel.

The CAASC was on May 14, 2026 to May 17, 2026 at the Double Tree Hotel in Annapolis MD. Alice Jackson read her report.
New Business
Junemarie Brandt motioned to purchase 10 tickets for delegates to attend Naps Branch 42 Crab Feast Fundraiser and Andrew Martin 2nd motion passed.
Junemarie Brandt motioned to purchase three (3) tickets to National Convention Auxiliary Luncheon (Sheilda White, Deidre Cox and Lloyd Cox) and Darryl Beasley 2nd motion passed.
Junemarie Brandt motioned to purchase fourteen (14) tickets for delegates to attend the National Convention Eastern Regional Luncheon and William White 2nd motion passed.
Alice Jackson motioned to purchase two shirts for CAASC and Branch for seventeen (17) delegates/ auxiliary for National Convention in San Francisco and William White 2nd motion passed.

Deborah Farmer motioned to pay the Hotel Fee for the President of Branch 526 (Lloyd Cox) and Vice President of P&DC at the National Convention in San Francisco and Junemarie Brandt 2nd motion passed.
Deborah Holley motioned to purchase Pins for the National Convention and Andrew Martin 2nd motion passed.
Deborah Farmer won the raffle drawing.
The next Branch Meeting is on July 16, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Merrifield Plant.
Motion to adjourn was made at 8:55 pm by Junemarie Brandt and 2nd by Alice Jackson; motion passed.
