MINUTES – GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING-ZOOM

 

Thursday, March 19, 2026


Lloyd Cox called the meeting to order at 7:00pm at Merrifield P& DC. The following officers were present: Lloyd Cox, President; Alice Jackson, VP Customer Service; Deborah Farmer, VP -P&; DC; Joanne Farmer, Secretary/Treasurer and Junemarie Brandt, Editor of Chief. Committee Chairs: Deborah Holley - Constitution/By-Laws; Kenny Marshall - Sargent at Arms; Harold Wade – Legislative; Andrew Martin – Membership and James Reedy – Resolution.  Darcy Driscoll – Benevolence was absent.


Lloyd Cox welcomes five extinguish guests who are candidates campaigning for National Officer position:   Chuck Mulidore, Executive Vice President, Richard Green, Eastern Region Vice President, Myrna Pashinski, AVP Rocky Mountain, Dan Mooney, AVP North Central and Troy Griffin, AVP Capitol Atlantic.


Junemarie Brandt motioned to suspended the order of our regular business meeting to allow the candidates to speak, and Bill White 2nd motion passed.

 

The agenda was read and Alice Jackson motioned to accept the agenda with any addition added; Bill White 2nd; motion passed.


The minutes were read, and Harold Wade motioned to accept the minutes as read with any necessary corrections; William White 2nd; motion passed.


The Treasury Report was read, and Alice Jackson motioned to accept the treasury report with any necessary corrections; Harold Wade 2nd, motion passed.

Old Business


2nd Reading On the proposed constitution and by law. Article 14 Section 6. The Branch will provide mileage rate for travel to approve meetings from a centralize location of the Merrifield Plant. Mr. Parks made an amendment for the convention 2026 to city of San Francisco that NAPS Branch 526 forgo paying mileage from and to airport and Alice Jackson 2nd; amendment did not pass.  Deborah Holley stated the amendment that we would do transportation from Merrifield plant this year (2026) only; 2nd James Parks; amendment did not pass.  The original proposed constitution change Artclen14 Section 6 did not passed. 


The next Branch Meeting is on May 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Merrifield Plant.

Motion to adjourn was made at 9:31 pm by Harold Wade and second by Andrew Martin; motion passed.
